**Thank You, Wei Jian**
29/05/2005
I am confused. I do not know who I want to be group members for CEL2.1 next semester. Who I want to be in my group? I would actually like to form a group of me, Tze Hian, Hassan and Ming Chuen. I would actually jump at the chance to work with Wei Jian, Melvin. But I am confused. Not sure of the next step. Whatever group I choose will come under scrutiny. There will be certain people in 2AO8 who will criticize my choice. But I could not care anymore. I want to work with people who I feel I will be comfortable to work with. My biggest mistake this semester is to choose a group that made up of members who had proven record of doing excellent individual work. But obvious weakness of this group is team work and transparency. There will always be differences in a group but in this group the differences is like ever continuing. I am tired. You think I like to always quarrel with Bernard Tan? I actually feel quite bad. But sometimes these things just continue to happen. I am quite upset. Wee keong just want to do everything himself. Hello, this is group report and not individual work. The only person who I do not have any problem is Ming Chuen. But I felt very bad with regards to Ming Chuen. He is always giving in to all of us. I think Ming Chuen deserve more respect and better group mate than Elvin Ker Chuan Hao. I felt that I do not deserve have such a good lab mates in Ming Chuen. I will make use of the six weeks holiday after the exam to sort things out and think clearly what group members I would like to choose. Yeah I agree with Bernard Tan that I am very selfish to exclude him. But sometimes it is necessary to be selfish to make sure I do not go through such nonsense again.

Today main event is CEL2.2 practical test. I was hoping to get fluidized bed and forced convection. I got what I was hoping for. Although I am not sure whether I will score well but I think I did enough to pass the practical test. Later after the practical, went to canteen five with Melvin, Phoon Yin and Wei Jian. Meet Yi Hui and Cheng Yee there. They planned beforehand to meet there after the practical test which I supposed. Yi Hui left first. Then the rest of us head to bus stop to take bus. I was supposed to bid them goodbye when we reach the bus-stop. But when Wei Jian, PY and Cheng Yee ask me whether I want to join them for a trip to Bugis with them and Melvin, I felt it too difficult to reject their invitation. So I went to Bugis with them. I think we reach there around five. The trip ended with a quick dinner at Burger King. We bided each other goodbye and headed in separated way. Melvin and PY took 970 home if I was not mistaken. Cheng Yee took 61 home. That left me and Wei Jian to take 32 to Holland Road. Wei Jian and I chatted for quite a while on the bus. I never have such a long one on one chat with any 2AO8 friends ever. I agree mostly with what Wei Jian said during that time. It is always a good thing that when you are feeling down, there is always someone that you can trust who are willing to listen. Thank You, Wei Jian. I really appreciate your time. Change to bus 198 at Holland Road before taking 180 home from telecom bus stop. Reach home around 8.45 pm. Suppose to study for TPHM but really have no mood to study. That the reason why I blogged. TPHM test tomorrow, hope that 2AO8 will do well. Today has been a good day for me. Going out with Melvin, PY, CY and Wei Jian were really a very unforgettable. This is the first time that I actually went out with the above mentioned friends. Looking forward to more of such outing, I am having second thoughts on whether to go on a trip to Genting. I felt that as days passed, I am actually not looking forward to the trip. I do not know why also. Life is full of up and down. Never be too arrogant when you are on top and never give up on yourself when you are down. With this I would like to end blogging today. Night to myself.

**I felt useless**
27/08/2005-28/08/2005
First I would like to be honest with myself. I do not have the best of temperament but I am not unreasonable. Yeah this semester had not been kind to me. I am getting upset and irritated easily this semester. It started with Tze Hian then continued with
Bernard Tan and now on the list is someone I have never wants to include in this list. Wee keong becomes the latest name to be included to this list. Let me state this loud and clear. I am your group member in the CEL2.2 module and not a rubbish bin. You do not dump any questions you do not want to do to me. How would you feel if someone asks you which questions you would like to do and end up finding that you are left with no choice but to choice the questions that nobody would like to do? I am very upset when I found out I have to do the last question of the site visit. This is not the question I ask for and was not surprisingly very mad when I was told to do this question. Wee keong let other group members choose the questions to do for the report except me. Do you think how I feel? What I am mad about is that if you want me to do a certain questions then tell me straight that I have no choice but to do the questions because all the other choices is taken up or you have assigned others to do the other questions. At least I would feel better. But this is not the case. As I am writing this blog, I really feel like slamming the lap top. I never have experience so much irritation in one semester ever before. For the whole semester doing the CEL2.2 modules, I felt like I am useless. My group member in particular Wee keong and Bernard Tan let me feel this way. I feel like a trash bin and beggar for CEL2.2 module. I have to beg my group members to let me do some part for the report. I am no beggar or thrash bin. I am very frustrated. Before this lab module begins, I always thought that a group of me, Wee keong, Bernard Tan and Ming Chuen would be the most ideal group. I thought that we would have little problems working together, buy now I really regretted my decision to join this group. I always felt that the report mark our group got was not the effort of me because I only work on the conclusion. I felt that I am not contributing proportionally to the report and was always limited to play bit-part role in the report handed up. Whatever marks the group got, I would not feel anything. What there to be proud of when you scored a high mark for a report that you only contribute a little? Two Fridays ago, Bernard Tan was quite upset when he found out that the summary that he sent to Wee keong was very different from the one with what was printed out. Wee Keong made wholesale changes to the summary. That feeling was understandable. Let me put this straight. Wee keong, if the answer to the question that I sent to you is different from what is printed out. I would not hesitate to ask you to delete my name from the group report. I think that it is inappropriate to claim credit from other people work. If my work is not appreciated and not included in the report then I think it is more appropriate to exclude my name from the group members list. From this experience, I learnt a very valuable life lesson. The lesson is that what you think is best for you might not turn out to be. Next semester, there will be CEL2.1, I have learnt my lesson the hard way and going to keep my options open. I would not eliminate wee keong and Bernard Tan name from my list of forming a lab group but they will certainly not on top of my list anymore.

**Miss Belinda Low needs serious improvement**
24/08/2005
I would like to first apologize to my class, 2AO8 for the bad behavior shown during the EMAT tutorial. Sorry class. I should not have reacted in such a way. Apologizes also extend to Bernard Tan, the unlucky victim for my outburst. Feeling kind of moody these few weeks, maybe stress is getting the better of me.
25/08/2005
Nothing really special happens. Study for ACEP test tomorrow.
26/8/2005
ACEP test today. I foresee no problem in passing the paper. Site visit was next. What really irritates me is that Miss Belinda Low did not take down any things during the site visit. Mr. Patrick Goh the other lecturer who follows us for the site visit was busy taking down notes and asking very relevant questions. Miss Belinda Low has awful lot of things to learn from Mr. Goh. Her professional and work attitude was just not there. Keep up the good work, Mr. Goh.

**Miss Belinda Low is lazy**
23/08/2005
Today is wee keong birthday. I wish wee keong a very happy birthday. Today get very upset with one of the CEL2.2 lecturer. A heated argument also occur between me and the lecturer involved. Her name is Miss Low Siew Wee Belinda. How on earth she can be a lecturer is one thing I would definitely like to know. We students are always told to hand in our assignments on time and the lecturer should do her part in the bargain by getting it mark before the next lesson start. But this Belinda is so lazy that she always marks our lab worksheets during our next lab period where we need the log book to take down the reading of the next experiment. Although I did not feedback to Miss Min about her but I think that LSCT need serious rethinking as to whether they should hire her for next semester. Let keep my finger crossed and hope that I would her see her next semester in Block 83 of Ngee Ann Polytechnic. But I would like to take this opportunity to applause the professionalism of Mr. Patrick Goh, the other lecturer for CEL2.2. Mr. Goh always marked our lab book and hand back to us before the next experiment. He always there in the lab to answer our queries although it is the first time he take CEL2.2. But I think he should be a role model for other lecturers to learn especially Miss Belinda Low.

**I will never condone late-coming**
14/08/2005
Today I will be touching on the topic of punctuality. Tertiary student are very fond of coming to their lectures, tutorial and practical lesson late. Some might feel this is a sweeping statement. Polytechnic give a grace period of 10 minutes for student to be considered late which I feel is fair enough. But as I have noticed, it is always the same few people who always come late. Even the first lesson start at 11am or later there will still be late-comers. Why? It is difficult to come to lesson on time. For 8am lesson, I can sympathies with the late-comers. They might have missed the early bus or could not get up the bus as the bus is too crowed. But for 11am lesson, there should be no reason why there is still classmates making their way into the class after 11.10am. 2AO8 TPHM tutorial is always being affected by the late-comers. I will never condemn late-comers as no one is perfect but that does not mean I will condone late-coming especially those who always come late. I detest those persistent late-comers as they are selfish human being who always cause disruption to our productivity. Can you image what could be done in the 5 minutes spent waiting for them? One could have done something more useful in the five minutes. I have this colleague of mine who come late for work twice in the space of three days and he was one and a half hours late for work on both occasions. His house is walking distance to my work place. It was due to his irresponsibility that caused increased work-load to me and my other colleague during the time he was not there. And guess what he is a polytechnic student. You see what I meant. Another thing I detest most is this phrase ON THE WAY. When you are meeting someone especially me and you are late please do not give such vague reply. I get very IRRITATED when I message someone to ask where they are now and his reply is on the way. And the worst part is the person you meet refuse to pick up you call. Excuse me, on the way is really very vague and a very irresponsible reply. You could be 20 bus stops away from your destination or you have just left your house and making your way to the destination which you will reach 30 minutes. Does the above consider on the way? Yes, they do. You could be miles away from the designated meeting place but at the end of the day you are making your way to the place and you are qualified to use the term on the way. But put yourself in the shoe of the person waiting for you. They want to have a better idea where you are so that they could do some estimation and do something more useful rather than wandering aimlessly waiting for you. You all can ask Bernard Tan and he will tell you that when I am late or going to be late, I will message him and tell him roughly where I am at that time. Please persistent late-comers be more considerate the next time you are late. Do not let your friend wait for you like a fool.

**What Frienship?**
5/08/2005
This is the third semester in Ngee Ann Polytechnic for me now. 11 weeks of academic study week has gone in third semester. I am still learning to adapt to the friends around me. I still have not built a strong rapport with my poly friends. How I miss my secondary friends. How I miss those five years. How I wish I could go back in time. But this is not possible and I had to look forward and move on. I think I am lucky to have good friends who had always helped me like Ming Chuen, Zi Xian, Sheila and Su Jun around me to name a few. But the most obvious omission from this list is of course Bernard Tan. I believe you can sense it by now that I had been quite hostile to you in recent weeks. The events of things that lead to such situation started as early as week 6 of this semester. Do you remember what you did in week 6? Let me enlighten you. That morning I meet at around 10 to help you in the ACEP practical you have miss because of your NPCC camp. But what did I get in the end; I got hurled hurting words by you during the process because I had forgotten some steps. Then the afternoon, you continue to irritate me during the Water Analysis 2 practical. The final straw came in week 10 after we got back TPHM common test paper. You actually blame me for teaching you TPHM. The words you hurled at me is very hurting that day, u know? I have forgiven you but to forget is a different matter altogether. That will be the last time that I will help you in school work. You better approach Wee Keong in school work because he will not react even you hurled any sort of hurting words at him. I am more volatile so please spare me from all you nonsense. I might not take your nonsense. Sorry, I have to be blunt and hope you understand that not everyone have the tolerance level of Wee Keong. I now treat Bernard Tan as a friend but our friendship will never be the same again.

**What my birthdate means**
Your Birthdate: February 24 |
Born on the 24th, you have a greater capacity for responsibility and helping others than your may have realized. You may also become the mediator and peacemaker in inharmonious situations. Devoted to family, you tend to manage and protect. This birth date adds to the emotional nature and perhaps to the sensitivities. Affections are important to you; both the giving and the receiving. |
